That Song Was Responsible For The Creation Of Dark Side Of The Moon?!

According to David Gilmour, which Pink Floyd song propelled the band towards the sound for their landmark LP Dark Side of the Moon? I’ll give you a hint. It was featured in their 1972 film Live At Pompeii. The answer is… "Echoes". It took up the entire side two of 1971’s LP Meddle, and was the predecessor in the sound that developed further into Dark Side Of The Moon. The epic funk breakdown in the middle of the track was the foundation for songs like "Time", "Money", "Us and Them", and "Any Colour You Like". So, if you love the Dark Side album, you have "Echoes" to thank for it.
