What starts as an ivy-league-quartet-a-la-caucasian song quickly turns into some wild-ass barbershop-freakbeat-meets-the-free-design bag. I mean, damn. It's so bizarre, but that makes it awesome. "My Mother's Eyes" is a thrill a second, with the part-Peter-Gunn-part-incidental-music-from-The-Trip trip it puts you on.
I like hyphens today.
"I'm Old Fashioned" does not stray from the dynamics found in the a-side, so this is arguably the greatest vocal-ensemble-meets-marijuana-two-sider ever. This is gonna sound great segueing into and out of records from the likes of Mrs. Miller and/or The Shaggs. Yep, The King Brothers are gonna get some play on the OSA. Check your local listings, and enjoy. :)
