Italian Soul? Indeed there is. Wess Johnson fronted the soul outfit The Airedales in the late 60s/early 70s, and sang in both Italian and English. In the states, his English-sung version of "Vehicle" is arguably his best-known. But, there's so much soul in the Italian-sung songs, too. Even if you don't know the language, music in itself is the universal language. The soul found on this record could be sung in Vietnamese and still be felt. This is good... I mean, great stuff.
