A Song Sung Completely In German Topped The US Charts?!

What is the only song sung in German to top the Billboard Hot 100? Here’s a hint. The vocalist was male, not female. The answer is… Falco - "Rock Me Amadeus". There were a few different versions of the song to hit the American airwaves, including one remix spoken in English, but the original German-sung version is the one that topped the US charts in 1986. There was an earlier hit from 1983 that was also sung in German and English, and just like "Rock Me Amadeus", the German version was the cut that went to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. That song was "99 Luftballoons" by Nena.
